Texas summer heat has arrived, with temperatures soaring past 100°F. UIL has introduced new heat stress recommendations for 2024-2025 and aims to make these mandatory for the 2025-2026 season.
We partnered with UIL to analyze Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT) data from over 1,000 Perry Weather stations across 8 THSADA Regions and compared it against the 2024-2025 UIL WBGT Activity Guidelines. This analysis provides insights into the impact on outdoor workouts each hour of the day from June 1 – June 30, 2024.
