We've raised a $6.25M Series A – a note from our founder

Published on October 27, 2022 | Written by Colin Perry | Company Updates

In this article:

Perry Weather was founded to simplify weather safety. At the time, weather safety tools were cumbersome and expensive. We introduced a modern platform that is far more powerful, easy-to-use, and affordable.

Today, we’re excited to announce a major step forward in our mission.

We just raised $6.25M in our Series A funding round, led by Arthur Ventures with participation from Teamworthy Ventures.

This funding, which furthers our mission and accelerates our growth, is a testament to our team’s hard work, forward thinking, and the heart behind what we do.

Weather events have a domino effect, quickly impacting decisions and actions across dozens of industries.

You may be an athletic trainer monitoring excessive heat to protect your athletes and needing to notify coaches across all of your teams. Or a golf pro trying to clear your course ahead of an impending thunderstorm.

Or a general contractor on a large construction site needing to alert your crane operation crew of delays due to high winds.

Maximizing Safety While Minimizing Disruptions

In all of these situations, and hundreds more like it, Perry Weather maximizes safety while minimizing disruption to your activities and operations.

I started Perry Weather nearly ten years ago with a small piece of software used by a few early customers that shared my excitement and vision.

Since then, we have launched an industry-leading platform, sent tens of millions of alerts, and deployed more than a thousand outdoor warning systems and weather stations across 41 states.

We are trusted by thousands of schools, golf clubs, municipalities, professional sports teams (NFL, MLB, MLS), the PGA of America, Ivy League & state universities, and many others.

Our roots in athletics, education, parks & rec, and golf have been a catalyst for new growth in many other industries facing weather risks – from airports to construction firms, industrial manufacturing to summer camps, HOAs to water parks.

We are incredibly motivated by our mission to simplify weather safety and protect lives, and we are excited for new investors to come along on our journey.

Join our growing team, or learn more about how we can help your organization with our platform.
